On December 31st the richest New Yorkers will be getting a $5 Billion t
ax cut at the expense of our kid’s education, our public services and our infrastructure!
Anyone who’s paying attention can see that it doesn’t make sense to give more money to someone who’s already incredibly rich — and that the $5 billion in tax cuts for the rich could better be spent on school budgets, human services, job creation, or foreclosure assistance, to name a few. But the money is going to go into the pockets of Jamie Dimon and others in the 1% who don’t need it.
We only have until December 31 to stop the state tax cut for the 1% — so come out Wednesday and tell Jamie Dimon that the 99 percent of New York need those billions for our schools, our subways, our human services, and for new public investments to create jobs and build a more prosperous future for all of us.
